Based on the assumption that craft production is benefited by the organization of craftsmen in associations and cooperatives, this research investigates the effects of associativism in the development of Paraiba handicrafts from the perspective of the craftsman. Through a multiple case study in four Associations of Craftswomen, the research reveals a handicraft that is established in the territory as a reflection of assistentialist and marketing approaches applied by the public sector, being influenced by the economic sector and neglected as a cultural activity.</p>}, number={1}, journal={DAT Journal}, author={Albuquerque dos Anjos, Raissa and Marcel de Arruda Torres, Pablo and Barros da Mota Silveira, Nathalie}, year={2021}, month={Mar.}, pages={198–212} }
