Agostinho da Silva (1906–1994), reflecting about the shift from the 1980s to the 1990s in Portugal, resume the Festa do Divino at one of his “Conversas Vadias” – broadcasted by RTP during the year 1990: as in the future imagined by Dom Dinis and Dona Isabel, Agostinho felt like our world was about to get rid from famine and suffering. But 30 years after that television series, we are rather living what Dardot and Laval says in “La Nouvelle Raison du Monde” (2009): Neoliberalism is gaining control over our minds and feelings. This article reports the experience of “heaven underneath” (installation by Ohira & Bonilha, 2019 to 2020) and proposes a composition between Michael Hardt’s “The Common in Communism” and the two aforementioned references. This is a small essay about a path to find freedom.
