Pictorial instructions play a crucial role in various fields, contributing to the comprehension of information. This article explores fundamental principles of user experience (UX) methodology and information design in a practical proposal, presenting three sets of brochures developed in an project, involving the Faculty of Pharmacy and the School of Fine Arts. The instructional brochures address public health topics such as arboviral disease prevention, proper medication disposal, and sun exposure protection. The development of these materials considered UX and information design principles, aiming for clear, educational, and inclusive communication. The results indicate that the integration of graphic design, usability principles, and user testing are essential for creating effective informational materials. Furthermore, it underscores the importance of considering cultural, social, and economic aspects in the design process, ensuring that both functional and emotional user needs are met.
