Awakening: uma pesquisa guiada pela prática a través de textura e corporificação

Resumen

Este artículo explora metodologías de investigación contextual y diseño creativo para comprender la relación entre el enfoque incorporado del investigador y el artefacto producido. La pregunta de: '¿Cómo podría representar honestamente mi propio mundo de texturas encarnadas para despertar a otros?' enmarca el proyecto de una manera que permite al diseñador/investigador producir un trabajo de manera orgánica y honesta. Abarcando diferentes direcciones de navegación y marcos de información permite que la comprensión personal penetre. Las ideas de lugar, nostalgia, narración y textura se exploran a través de los artefactos físicos de un libro de archivo de texturas 'Awaken' y una serie de carteles. La metodología de una investigación guiada por heurística activada por la encarnación permitió la traducción en algo más significativo que un pensamiento abstracto. Explorar el conocimiento contextual de la textura y su capacidad multisensorial, nostalgia y encarnación enmarca el proyecto en un contexto más amplio que permite un comentario crítico del trabajo.

Sophie Ardern, Auckland University of Technology

Sophie Ardern es una diseñadora con sede en Aotearoa, Nueva Zelanda. Completó una Licenciatura en Diseño de la Comunicación en la Universidad de Tecnología de Auckland en 2022 y, como profesional, está interesada en cómo las texturas pueden aflorar en las cualidades encarnadas del mundo.
