Abstract

On scintilla in times of pandemic, discusses the culture and public policies in the context of the pandemic, taking Paço das Artes as a case study. The article is divided into three parts. At first, we make a brief discussion of the cultural area in Brazil. In the second and third, we present the virtual programming of Paço das Artes developed within the context of the cultural crisis enhanced by the pandemic of COVID 19.

Author Biography

Priscila Almeida Cunha Arantes

Priscila Almeida Cunha Arantes is artistic director and curator of Paço das Artes since 2007. Post-doctorate from Pennsylvania State University (USA) and UNICAMP, has a doctorate in Communication and Semiotics from PUC-SP and a degree in Philosophy from USP / SP. CNPQ research productivity researcher, she is leader of the CNPQ Studies group: Design, Art and Memory: Contemporary perspectives. She is an art critic, curator and professor at the Department of Arts at PUC-SP and a professor at PPG Design at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi.
