Abstract

This article is a study of the mail art collection of the XVI Biennial of São Paulo that is part of the City Art Collection (CAC) under guard of the São Paulo Cultural Center (CCSP). It seeks to identify the main themes, typologies and techniques used by the artists who participated in the XVI Biennial of São Paulo that. For this, we will perform a sampling of the works based on the themes defined by Fabiane Pianowski and the analysis of the different typologies and techniques present in the works that make up the collection.

Author Biography

Camila Bôrtolo Romano

É Mestra pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação Interunidades em Museologia da Universidade de São Paulo, com pesquisa Do marginal ao museal: um estudo sobre a Arte Postal da XVI Bienal de São Pau-lo (2021). Licenciada em Artes Visuais pela Universidade de Guarulhos (2012). Desde 2015 coordena a Coleção de Arte da Cidade sob guarda do Centro Cultural São Paulo (CCSP), instituição onde trabalha há 10 anos, tendo atuado anteriormente como documentalista da Coleção de Arte da Cidade (2012-2015) e como estagiária do Laboratório de Conservação e Restauro (2011-2012).
