Hipnotizados: una revisión exploratoria sobre niños y tiempo frente a la pantalla

Resumen

El diseño de la información para interfaces digitales se ha popularizado debido a temas relacionados con la experiencia del usuario. Al investigar la literatura en este campo, se observa en las interfaces la intencionalidad de captar al máximo la atención del usuario, reducir su esfuerzo y, por ende, mantenerlo conectado. Sin embargo, en el ámbito de la salud, se ha investigado y alertado sobre los daños al desarrollo infantil causados por el uso de pantallas. El presente estudio busca confrontar la perspectiva del Diseño de la Información sobre el uso de pantallas con el conocimiento producido por áreas de la salud. Como primer paso exploratorio, este artículo cuenta con una investigación sistemática realizada con la metodología TEMAC dentro del área de la nutrición. Se obtuvieron 408 resultados y 7.470 citas. Se observa un patrón aparente de correlación entre el uso excesivo de pantallas y malos patrones alimentarios entre los niños. Es posible notar que existe una preocupación latente en la comunidad de la salud relacionada con el consumo de pantallas por parte de los niños.

Possui graduação em Engenharia de Produção pela Universidade de Brasília (2020). Atualmente é designer de produto para o segmento automotivo na empresa ília. É pesquisadora mestranda no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Design da Universidade de Brasília, no qual investiga o uso de telas por crianças.

Tiago Barros Pontes e Silva

Professor Associado do Departamento de Design da Universidade de Brasília e pesquisador do PPG Design, atuando nas áreas de Ergonomia Cognitiva, Design de Interação, da Informação e de Jogos Sérios, com foco em tarefas cognitivas complexas, ubiquidade, portabi- lidade, segurança, aprendizagem e ludicidade. Doutor em Arte (2014) pela UnB, investigando o campo da Arte Computacional Evolutiva sobre Vida Artificial, emergência e complexidade efetiva. Mestre em Psicologia (2006) pela UnB com ênfase em Ergonomia Cognitiva aplicada a ambientes e interfaces, estudando a apresentação da informação em artefatos portáteis. Bacharel em Design em Projeto de Produto (2002) e Programação Visual (2003) pela UnB.
